89% of Missourians share their bed with their dog, sleep expert warns of dangers

A survey by MattressNextDay revealed over half of Americans (74%) share their beds with their furry ones. Experts say there are both pros and cons to letting your furry companion into your bed.

According to the study, 74% of dog owners allow their dogs to sleep with them compared to 55% of cat owners.

Sleeping with your pets can help relieve stress, provide comfort, help strengthen bonds and even reduce blood pressure. Although the emotional advantages of co-sleeping with pets, such as decreased stress, are widely recognized, it’s essential to also take hygiene factors into account.
