The annual food drive that has been a tradition in the Lakes Region for over 30 years takes place again next week.
The Holiday Food Harvest presented by the Tri-Lakes Board of Realtors happens next Wednesday from 9:00 am to 5:00pm at several grocery stores in Stone and Taney Counties.
Janet Bezzerides coordinates the Food Harvest for the Board of Realtors, and during a recent interview on KRZK's "Ozarks Now" program, she recounts how the KOMC and KRZK joined with the realtors to combine events that the two had done separately for several years to help keep food pantries filled during the holiday season which is also the off time for many seasonal workers.
Realtors will be manning the collection points at the stores where people can donate non-perishable food items as well as cash donations. Cash donations can also be made online on this website.
The drop-off locations again this year will be Country Mart stores in Branson, Forsyth, and Hollister along with Harter House in Hollister and Kimberling City, Rhodes Family Price Chopper and Sunfest in Branson, and King Food Saver and Wal-Mart Supercenter in Branson West.
The complete interview with Bezzerides can be found on the "Ozarks Now" Facebook page.
