The remnants of Tropical Storm Beryl left the Lakes Region Tuesday afternoon leaving several inches of rain behind.

According to data from the National Weather Service, most of the Lakes Region saw at least two to three inches of rain with several four plus inches of rain reports coming from areas of Barry and Stone Counties in Missouri and Boone and Marion Counties in Arkansas. Four plus inches of rain also hit eastern Ozark County where a couple of highways remain closed this morning due to flooding.

The Lakes Region is expected to return to a hot and dry pattern with little precipitation in the forecast for the next week while temperatures are expected back into the mid to upper 90s by the weekend.
