Boil Water Orders in the Lakes Region

An issue with a water line has parts of Merriam Woods under a city issued boil order.

According to social media reports and an Ozarks First report, Wards 2 and 3 of Merriam Woods were without water Monday with restoration of service planned for today. Once service is restored, a Boil Water Order will be in place. The issues were caused by a water line break then a later discovered break in the sewer line.

Meanwhile, recent information released by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources indicates that three other Boil Orders are in place in the Lakes Region, at the Vickery Resort Condominiums in Hollister and for the Mount Olive Baptist Church in Cassville and the Waymark Church in Monett. E. coli in the water system is listed as the cause for the orders.

Water needs to be boiled for one minute prior to use in areas with a boil order.
