Branson Government's Employee of the Month: Lynn Powell

Branson Records Specialist Lynn Powell is the city's employee of the month.

Powell was honored with the award during Tuesday night's aldermen meeting. City Clerk Hillary Briand presented her with the monthly award.

"Lynn was nominated for her remarkable work ethic, exceptional performance and consistently positive attitude. Her knowledge in many areas of the city's inner workings has also proven to be invaluable," Briand said. That positivity and knowledge were especially evident when she stepped up to assist a coworker needing maternity leave.

"Lynn recently volunteered to take over duties in another department to help cover a coworker's maternity leave. While doing the extra duties, Lynn consistently kept up with the work in her current position as well and maintained accuracy and positivity while doing both. In the three months that Lynn assisted in the Prosecutor's Office, she assisted with over 400 cases, helped with multiple walk-ins, and processed over two thousand eNotices."

Briand also highlighted Powell's quality customer service. "She also showed excellent customer service to every defendant and defense attorney she interacted with," she said. The city clerk commented on the impact Powell makes city-wide.

"Lynn truly went above and beyond her work duties and is not only an asset to her current department but also the City of Branson as a whole. Her commitment and ability to create a positive and warm work environment make her a shining example of the values held high by the City of Branson."
