An area man is jailed on Child Pornography Charges.

According to a release from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the Division of Drug and Crime Control announces the arrest of 39 year-old Nicholas Dean Johnson of Branson on three counts of possession of child pornography.

Investigators from the patrol executed a search warrant last week at Johnson's home where a laptop computer was confiscated, and discovered three videos of child pornography on it. After the arrest and a review of the evidence submitted to the Taney County Prosecutor, charges were officially filed.

Johnson is currently being held without bond in the Taney County Jail.
