C of O Continues Preparation for NCCAA National Basketball Championshikps

The College of the Ozark continues preparations for their first of three years hosting the National Christian College Athletic Association Division One Men’s and Women’s Basketball Tournament.

C of O Sports Information Director Charlie Pentecost, during a recent visit to KRZK’s “The Upside with Josh and Them” and KOMC's "Mornings with Josh Grisham" programs, said that the success of the school’s past hosting national tournaments, including the past NAIA Men’s National Basketball Championships as well as hosting the last six NCCAA Volleyball National Championships gave them the opportunity to host this event which takes place next week.

The College of the Ozarks Men had a host spot in the tournament but ended up winning their way into the eight-team field by claiming the Central Region Championship this week in Kansas. In addition, the C of O Women will have a spot in the tournament unless they make a run in the NAIA Tournament which begins play today for the Lady Bobcats in Hastings, Nebraska.
