The Creekside Community will have its grand opening on Oct. 12 at 10 a.m. according to Harrison Parks and Rec Administrative Assistant Kim Fulton.
Fulton and Donna Braymer appeared on KHOZ's "Around The Table" on Wednesday to talk about it. Braymer said 100 free T-Shirts will be handed out on Saturday morning. That's not all. Fulton added that everything at the center is free that day.
That includes the pool, the basketball court and more. Lockers are available.
However, Fulton said anyone wanting to lock their locker needs to bring their own lock. Attendees can purchase Creekside Community Center memberships that day; as a sidenote, there are different levels to the membership.
Fulton offered tips for obtaining one. She said anyone wanting a membership can set one up for themselves or their household online ahead of time. Doing that will expedite the process for approval.
Fulton said everyone moved into the new building Monday. Two nights of training were given to employees, and everything is gearing up for the opening. More was discussed on the broadcast.
The full interview with Fulton and Braymer is on the "Around The Table" Facebook Page.
