Humans Remains Identified, Branson Police Ask for Help Notifying Next of Kin

The identity of the person whose remains were found in Branson in April has now been released.

The City of Branson in a Press Release Friday morning says that Deborah Brown has been identified as the deceased through tests run by the Taney County Coroner and a dental expert. The coroner has not yet completed the investigation and ruled on a  cause of Brown's death. 

Brown was found in a field near the Highway 248 and Gretna Road intersection on April 10 of this year. 

Branson Police is asking for the public's help in locating next of kin as well as anyone that may have information on Deborah Brown. The Branson Police Department’s Tip Line at 417-334-1085 or fill out an online Crime Tip submission

Brown was born and 1958 and lived in Illinois and is believed to have moved to Missouri around 2014. The investigation has determined that she was believed to have been last seen in 2017.
