More Power Out, Damage Due to Storms

The latest round of storms to move through the region has again led to electric crews on the call to restore power.

This round of storms coming through late Monday afternoon into the evening had its biggest impact in areas southeast of Ozark in Christian County through eastern parts of Taney County and throughout Douglas and Ozark Counties. White River Valley Electric reported over 3700 outages as of 8:30 pm Monday as crews were back out to restore power. Both Liberty in Missouri and Entergy in Arkansas also reported outages.

Once again several areas reported trees down as well as power poles. Taney County Highway Administrator Devin Huff tells Ozarks Dynacom that several barns were knocked down in the Bradleyville area. The National Weather Service adds in their reports that numerous trees and limbs were knocked down between Bradleyville and Brownbranch in northeast Taney County with damage extending into Douglas County.
