One Person Dies in Crash Near Powersite

A man from Branson has died and two other people are injured in a two-vehicle crash near Powersite.

According to the report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred on Highway 76 around 8:30  Thursday morning when a vehicle driven by 58-year-old Kelly Hathcock of Branson lost control on a curve and crossed the center lane hitting a vehicle driven by 61-year-old Leigh Adams of Tecumseh. Hathcock and Adams sustained minor injuries while a passenger in Hathcock’s vehicle, 55-year-old Mark Ersery, died as a result of the crash. 

This is the 93rd Fatality in traffic crashes worked by Troop D of the MSHP in 2024.
