Pathways Project Coalition of the Ozarks Brings Awareness to Human Trafficking

A local organization raises awareness of a worldwide problem that exists in the Lakes Region.

The Pathways Project Coalition of the Ozarks was formed by Veloris Juneman, who was made aware of the issue of Human Sex Trafficking through her son that works with agencies involved in Counter-Human Trafficking. After going to one of operations that rescued victims, Juneman said it changed her life and led her to bring awareness to the issue in the Lakes Region.

During a recent "At Your Service" podcast interview through the Stone County Community Health Coalition, Juneman talked about the surprise she found on the amount of trafficking that was going on in the area and how her group has taken on the education of area groups and organizations to bring that awareness out. Juneman also talked about the groups role in a recent sting operation conducted through the Branson Police Department as well as the Stone and Taney County Sheriff's Departments that led to multiple arrests in both counties.

The full interview can be found on the Branson Podcast Network as well as on the "Ozarks Now" Facebook Page.
