Russell Steps Down From Nixa Chamber

Another area Chamber of Commerce is looking for a new leader.

Just a few weeks after Jason Outman stepped down as the President/CEO of the Branson Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce/CVB, the Nixa Chamber Board of Directors announces in a release that they have accepted the resignation of their president Chris Russell due to personal reasons. Russell had been Chamber President and Executive Director since 2018. 

The release state that current Vice-President of Membership Ashley Johnson will be the interim President of the Chamber. 

No other information on the reasons for Russell's departure or a time-table for a full-time replacement was given on the release which is below:

The Nixa Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors has accepted the resignation of Chris Russell, the chamber’s president, due to personal reasons. 

In the past five years, Chris has been instrumental in growing membership, and we wish Chris the very best. 

Effective immediately, current vice president of Membership, Ashley Johnson, has been named interim Chamber President.
