Schools Impacted By Storms

The recent severe storms along with heavy rain on the way has prompted some school districts to close or give students the option to stay home in two Ozark County School Districts.

According to social media posts collected by Ozarks First, Dora Schools will be closed today though the district announces that the FEMA Shelter will be open for families that need shelter from the weather.

Meanwhile in Bakersfield, a community still recovering from the EF-3 Tornado that hit on March 14, the school district says in a release that they will be in session today, but students will get an excused absence if they can’t get in or the busses can’t get to them because of storm issues.

In addition to those schools, West Plains in Howell County is also not holding closes today because of the storms.
