Severe Weather as well as Heat Possible UPDATE

The National Weather Service adds a slight risk of severe thunderstorms in addition to Heat Advisories that remain in place for the region.

UPDATE 7:30 PM
The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for the following Lakes Area Counties:
In Missouri, Barry, Christian, Stone, Taney
In Arkansas, Boone, Carroll. Madison
The watch is in effect until 11:00 this evening. 

Forecasters say that scattered thunderstorms could develop late in the afternoon and continue through the evening into Sunday. Strong winds are the primary risk of the storms that will move through the region ahead of a cool front. 

Temperatures will moderate once the rain moves out on Sunday but warm back into the mid to upper 90s by Tuesday.
