Sheriff’s deputy, Ozark School Resource Officer retires

OZARK, Mo. — After nearly four decades of service in law enforcement and as a school resource officer, a recognizable face in Christian County is calling it a career.

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office announced that Captain Mark Deeds would step down from his role, sending out his final radio transmission this week.

In his final message, Deeds thanked Sheriff Brad Cole for “allowing him to serve the citizens of Christian County and the students at Ozark Schools.” Dispatch returned the favor, thanking him as well.
