Basketball Friday: Harrison Wins Showdown with NLR, Other Results

MOARK Sports Basketball Coverage Friday night included a big neutral court win for the Harrison Goblins.

Harrison 63 North Little Rock 59
The Goblins and the Charging Wildcats matched-up John Stanton Classic hosted by Conway High School. The Goblins, as they have done in several games this season, jumped out to a big lead only to see their opponent charge back. The Goblins were able to hold on for the win behind four Goblin players who scored in double figures. Harrison's final game before Christmas is this afternoon at North Arkansas College. The Goblins will play Izard County at Pioneer Pavilion at 5:30. The game will be on MOARK Sports and KHOZ 94.9.

Forsyth 86 Spokane 59
The Panthers won their second straight game, jumping out to a 20-0 lead over the Owls who are still seeking their first win of the season. Despite the stuggles, Spokane had the game high scorer as Kasen Blaue netted 30 points. Forsyth got 16 points from Tamarkus Holmes who led four in double figures for the Panters, who along with their JV Team, will travel to the Bad Boys Mowers Tournament in Highland, Arkansas after Christmas.

Monett 75 Hollister 52
The Tigers, whose lone victory of the season was over Spokane in November, had a tough night in Monett dropping the contest to the Cubs.; Hollister will open action in the Walnut Grove Tournament today against Marionville. That game as well as the girls game against Macks Creek in that tournament, can be heard on MOARK Sports with coverage beginning around 4:30. Blue Eye is also playing in the Walnut Grove Girls Tournament and will take on Hurley in an opening round game at Morrisvile this afternoon.
