College of the Ozarks rallies to grab a road volleyball match win.
The Lady Cats traveled to Batesville, Arkansas Friday to take on Lyon College. With their backs against the wall and facing a 2-1 deficit, the Lady Cat Volleyball team bounced back to take the final two sets and the match. With a balanced offensive effort, the Lady Cats turned it on in sets four and five to win 3-2. The win over Lyon College on Friday moved the Lady Cats record to 9-8 on the season.
Ryley Thixton led the offensive attack with 14 kills. Brooklyn Crawford added 11 kills while Abi Menzies contributed 10. Kiley Counts led the defensive effort with 28 digs, followed by 26 for Mica Chadwell, 18 by Ryley Thixton, 11 by Leatha Keller and 10 by Morgan Austin. Austin also set up 41 assists in the match.
The Lady Cats match against Hannibal-LaGrange scheduled for Thursday, October 21 has been moved to Friday, October 29 at 5 PM. The Lady Cats next action will be Friday, October 22, at Ozark Christian College.
