Friday Basketball Tournament Recap

Besides the second night of action at the Branson Battle at the Boarder Tournament, several other area tournaments continued plus one wrapped-up.

Blue Eye Girls Tournament
Third-seeded Springfield Glendale emerges as the tournament winner, after upsetting two-seed Berryville in the semi-finals Thursday, they complete their run with a 52-44 win over top seed Mansfield. Forsyth takes third as they knock off Berryville 54-46, the host Lady Bulldogs won the 5th place game over Spokane 60-56 and Reeds Spring grabbed 7th place defeating Exeter 60-21.

Harrison at Willard Tournament
The Harrison teams complete day two of competition splitting their games. After beating them in the regular season in November, the Goblins pick up another win over Flippin 76-54 while the Lady Goblins fall to Republic 61-48. The two teams will play their final games today, the Lady Goblins at 12:00 against Springfield Kickapoo, the Goblins at 1:30 against Belton. Both games can be heard on MOARK Sports Dot Com and 94.9 KHOZ.

Forsyth Tournament
Carl Junction defeats the Forsyth JV while Spokane knocks off Gainesville in the final Pool Play games of the tournament. The final games today will feature Gainesville playing the Forsyth JV for 5th at 4:00, Carl Junction and Spokane for 3rd at 5:30, then Forsyth and Hollister play for the Championship at 7:00. The championship game can be heard on MOARK Sports Dot Com.
