Baseball:
The Class 3 District Tournament Monday was moved from Mansfield to Forsyth to be played on the artificial surface with the host and top seed Panthers rallying from a 3-0 sixth inning deficit scoring three times that inning with the game eventually going to extra innings and gaining the win 4-3 in nine innings. The win sends the Panthers to the District Title Game against Hartville, who defeated Liberty 4-2 in the other semi-final. The Championship Game will be played in Forsyth this afternoon.
Weather permitting, action begins this afternoon in the Class 5 District featuring Branson playing at Springfield Glendale. 5:00 start time. That game can be heard live through the link below which will also feature updates on the Forsyth-Hartville Game:
In other baseball action, the Class 4 District Game between Reeds Spring and Cassville at Aurora was suspended in the fourth inning with the Wolves leading 2-0 due to continuing Thunderstorms in the region. That game will be completed today at 12:00 with the winner to take on Aurora at 4:00 in the semi-finals. Hollister will play Monett in the other semi-final at 2:00. Tennis
The Branson Tennis Team, off of their second ever District Championship, had their State Sectional Match against Sedalia Smith-Cotton postponed on Monday to this morning at 10:30 at the Cooper Tennis Complex in Springfield.
