High School Football begins postseason play in Missouri while Arkansas is in the final two weeks of the regular season.
Week 10 of the High School Football season in Missouri doubles as the beginning of District play with teams needing to win to continue their seasons.
The area Class 3 Schools are in the same district with one match-up a rematch of of a previous lakes area match-up as Forsyth will host Hollister. The two teams played in September with the Panthers getting a home win over the Tigers 36-14 in the first ever varsity meeting between the schools. The Panthers scored the games first 22 points in earning the win.
Meanwhile, the Reeds Spring Wolves will meet up with an old Big 8 Conference foe hosting Aurora in the opening round of district. The Wolves edged the Houn Dawgs 4-2 in the six years both teams were in the Big 8 but also had four years the teams met in postseason with each team winning twice. The Wolves won their final match-up in the Big 8 against the Houn Dawgs last year 26-12.
One lakes area team not in action tonight is the Branson Pirates, earning a Week 10 Bye after being the top seed in their Class 5 District. The Pirates will host the winner of tonight's Glendale at Willard game next Friday at Pirates Stadium. There will be a special half hour program, the Branson Pirates Bye Pregame show, that will air on exclusively on MOARK Sports this evening at 6:30 featuring an interview with Pirate Coach Aaron Hafner plus a look at other games.
In Arkansas, Week 9 of the season will feature the Harrison Goblins looking for a strong end to the season as they travel to Greenbrier ahead of their final game next week at home agains Pea Ridge.
All three contest tonight can be heard on MOARK Sports Dot Com with the Aurora at Reeds Spring Game also on MY 100.1 and the Harrison at Greenbrier game on New Country 1029.
Also in northern Arkansas tonight, Green Forest plays at Huntsville while Berryville hosts Lincoln before the two Carroll County Schools closeout the season with their annual game against each other, played this year in Berryville.
