The final athletes competing in the 2023-24 High School Sports Season wrapped up their competitions over the last week.
Branson
The Pirate Tennis squad takes home fourth place in the Class 2 Team tournament in Springfield. After winning their quarterfinal match over Capital City earlier, the Pirates dropped a pair of 5-1 contests, one to Platte County in the semi-finals and the other to Westminster Christian in the third place match.
In Track, the top two finishes for the Pirates at the Class 5 State Meet in Jefferson City was Chris Vineyard, who finished 3rd in the Boys 300 Meter Hurdles and finished 6th in the 110 Hurdles. Tristen Bough also had a 6th place finish in the Boys 800 Meter Run.
Forsyth
The Panthers Baseball team falls one game short of this week's baseball semi-finals and finals as Licking rallied from a four run deficit to down the Panthers in Forsyth 12-11. Forsyth finishes the season with a 25-5 record.
