Tuesday Recap: Republic Pulls Away Late from Branson, Forsyth Softball, Harrison Soccer Wins

Games covered on MOARK Sports Tuesday included baseball losses for Branson and Harrison and a Softball win for Forsyth.

In Republic, the Baseball Pirates and Tigers were in a pitching duel through four and a half innings with each team having opportunities to score only to be stopped by the opposing team's defense and pitching. That change in the bottom of the fifth as Republic notched two runs, then blew the game open with a huge sixth inning in a 7-0 shutout win. The Pirates are 12-6 for the season but still searching for their first Central Ozark Conference Win.

Meanwhile in Springdale, Harrison drops a 6-5 decision to Shiloh Christian in a match-up of 4A-1 Conference play, dropping the Goblins to 14-8 for the season.

The news was better for the Forsyth Lady Panthers softball team as after losing four out of their last five contest, they rebound for a 7-1 win at Mansfield.

In other area action:
The Reeds Spring Baseball teams five game winning streak is snapped in a 2-1 loss at Marshfield.

The Harrison Soccer Teams sweep their Senior night matches over Berryville with the Lady Goblins winning 5-0 and the Goblins notching a 2-1 win.
