Two First Time Winners at AJGA Tournament at Buffalo Ridge

The Amateur Junior Golf Association crowns two first time winners during their tournaments in the Lakes Region.

The Bass Pro Shops/Payne Stewart Junior Championships at Buffalo Ridge concluded Thursday at Buffalo Ridge with Grace Kilcrease of Springdale, Arkansas winning the Girls Division, shooting a 9 under par 204 to take the wire to wire win. Kilcrease, who has verbally committed to playing golf at the University of Tulsa, was the only competitor in the field to shoot all three rounds under par. 

Meanwhile, the Boys Division was won by high school sophomore to be Bowen Ballis of Woodland Hills, Texas who carded 15 birdies during the tournament as well as notching an eagle on the first hole in the final round to also score a 9 under par 204.

Two area golfers participated in the Boys Tournament including Andrew Bristow of Branson and Max Bowman of Springfield.
