Two World Series Baseball Tournament in the Lakes Region

Baseball Tournaments featuring teams from around the world are taking place at two venues in the Lakes Region.

The Cal Ripken Major/70 World Series will again take place at Ballparks of America. Teams from 16 states including two from the Branson Area will represent the United States and will be joined by squads from 14 countries including Australia, Canada, Japan, and Mexico. Pool play begins today followed by tournament play with the champion to be crowned on Saturday the 17th. 

Meanwhile, another tournament will also take place at the recently reopened Show-Me Baseball Camp near Branson West. The Babe Ruth 13-16 World Series will feature a mix of 20 teams from around the country and the world. Play begins Saturday in this event with the tournament also scheduled to wrap-up on August 17.
