Alexander Evan Whaley, age 32, of Cassville, Missouri

Alexander Evan Whaley, age 32, of Cassville, Missouri passed away Monday, June 19, 2023 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas.

He was born November 05, 1990 in Wichita, Kansas to Thomas Edmond and Kelli René (Haines) Whaley. He was a registered Osage Indian.

Alex is survived by his daughter, Avarice C. Whaley of McDowell; mother, Kelli René (Haines) Bakker of McDowell; grandfather, Richard Haines and his wife, Helen of Hutchinson, Kansas; three sisters, Crystal Dimello and her husband Jake of Cassville, Tiffany Willhite of Exeter, Kala Brooks and her friend Jeremy Barnes of Purdy; one brother, Brian Partridge and his wife Amanda of Reno, Nevada; five nieces, Brooklyn Dimello, Emily Dimello, Abigail Schroeder, Makalie Schroeder and Alyssa Partridge; seven nephews, Ezekiel Dimello, Draven Anderson, Harley Anderson, Charles Barnes, Noah Schroeder, Kaiden Partridge and Izaak Partridge; many aunts, uncles, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews across four different states! As well as many extended friends and family in Kansas and Missouri.

Preceding him in death were his father, Thomas E. Whaley; stepfather, James D. Bakker; three grandparents, Karrol Kay (Javine) Haines, Claude and Helen Whaley; six great grandparents, Homer and Mary Alice Gee, Thomas and Billie Thurman, Colley Leroy Javine, Van and Dot Haines.

Alex attended school at Eunice Thomas Elementary School in Cassville, Missouri, Stucky Middle School in Park City, Kansas and completed up to 11th grade at Heights High School in Wichita, Kansas. He never had a passion for school, but he had a great passion for backyard wrestling. Alex began wrestling when he was living in Park City.  Alexander, AKA Chris Chaos would go onto to join the Oklahoma Boxing Commission in wrestling from 2009 to 20011. He held multiple titles and championships with his childhood teammate Bobby Thomas, AKA Bobby Starr.

Alex was also known for his love of rock music. Specifically, Metallica, Slipknot and one country song, ‘Humble and Kind” by Tim McGraw. He also enjoyed camping, fishing, bonfires, bottle rocket contests with his nieces and nephews and really enjoyed getting tattoos. Alex was a BIG movie buff! His movie obsession included “Batman,” “Pink Floyd the Wall” and strangely enough “A Clockwork Orange”.  His movie obsession really surfaced when he saw the movie “Fight Club” with Brad Pitt. Alex even altered his looks for a bit to look like Brad Pitt.

Alex had numerous things in his life that he loved, but none would compare to the LOVE that we all knew he had for his daughter, Avarice Cataleya Whaley!

He worked in construction, line work at Georges, food service and even car sales, but most of his adult life Alex worked in customer service.  At the time of his passing, he was working at Circle K Truck Stop, located in Park City, Kansas at 61st Street and I35.

Alex attended Merl’s Chapel Freewill Baptist Church and was baptized in Flat Creek when he was a child. As an adult Alex attended Realife Worship in Cassville. He hated to ask for help, but he would give you his shirt off his back and go without if you really needed it. Alex had a big heart. He brought home many turtles, scorpions, cats, doggies and even people that needed shelter.

He always kept his mom on her toes. She will forever be proud of the Good God-Fearing Man that he grew up to be.  She will always remember to be loyal and to Go Big or Go Home.  Alex did it big or not at all!  He stood fearless.

Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, July 8, 2023 at Realife Worship Center in Cassville, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.  Pastor Jeff Hammond will conduct the services.

Contributions may be made to the family for the care of Alex’s daughter, Avarice in memory of Alex.
