Barbara Hope Schmoll, 90 resident of Branson, Missouri was born on January 4th, 1931 in Carrollton, Missouri to Frances and James Smith, and passed away on July 2nd, 2021 in Hollister, Missouri.
Barbara was raised in Carrollton, Missouri. She was the middle child of three daughters.
She attended the University of Missouri and graduated with a degree in Home Economics. At MU is where she met her husband Dr. Robert Schmoll and married on August 8th, 1953. And to this union, 1 daughter, Marilyn was born in 1961.
Robert proceeded her in death on October 6th, 2006.
Barbara and Robert were members of the Branson United Methodist Church. Barbara and Robert had been in the Hospitality Industry in Branson since 1973. They owned and operated Hotels, Motels, a Restaurant, and a Veterinary Clinic. Their Restaurant, The Home Cannery, is where Barbara loved cooking homemade meals for her family guests.
She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She also really enjoyed traveling abroad with her family.
Her hobbies included: sewing, cooking, playing games, entertaining, reading, and shopping.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Dr. Robert Schmoll, sister Kay Stiles and husband Richard, and brother-in-law Charles E. Lane Jr. II.
Survivors include 1 daughter: Marilyn and husband Mike Mahoney of Branson, Missouri; 1 grand-daughter: Megan and husband Lynn Haws of Kearney, Missouri; and 1 sister: Marilynn Lane Hanson of Houston, Texas; and four nephews and 1 niece.
Following cremation, a private family burial will be held at a later date in Branson, Missouri.
