Barbara “Sam” Ann Robinson, age 82, of Branson West, Missouri.
Barbara “Sam” Ann Robinson, age 82, of Branson West, Missouri, passed away on November 14, 2021. She entered this life on May 17, 1939, in Plainfield, New Jersey. She married the love of her life, Ronald Mills Robinson, on January 30, 1960.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Julia and William Salmon; son, Ronald Mills Robinson, Jr; and sister, Peggy Riopel.
Sam’s greatest joy was being able to create a loving close-knit family; her family meant the world to her. She was able to spend twenty-eight wonderful years as an Army wife, being able to love and care for her children and eventually grandchildren. Sam had a huge heart for all animals and welcomed many stray or rescue dogs and cats into her home. Sam enjoyed traveling and entertaining and ensured her home on the lake was always a fun, welcoming gathering place for family and friends. She loved playing board and card games, playing Candy Crush, watching Jeopardy and classic movies, and loving on her animals: Mac and Toto. The memories created by Sam will forever be cherished.
She is survived by her husband of sixty-one years, Ronald Mills Robinson of Branson West, Missouri; son, Scott (Peggy) Robinson of Saddlebrooke, Missouri; grandsons: Kyle (Bobbi Jean) Robinson of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Alek Robinson of Fort Hood, Texas; great grandchildren: Penny Lynn and Pierce Mills Robinson of Colorado Springs, Colorado; and grandnieces and nephews: Emily, Callie, and Dan of Lincoln, Nebraska.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the animal rescue agencies Haven of the Ozarks or Rescue One.
