Barbara Taylor Graves...
Barbara Taylor Graves was born July 13, 1939 near Polo, Missouri, the daughter of Roscoe and Julia Jean Spidle. Barbara married Wes Taylor and had celebrated 40 years of marriage before his death in 1998. They had four children, Elizabeth McGuire, Roger Taylor, Mark Taylor and Melinda Thurston.
Barbara married Morris Graves August 26, 2000. She is survived by husband, Morris; daughters, Elizabeth and Melinda; son, Mark Taylor; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Wes Taylor, her son Roger Taylor and brother Dan Spidle.
The Taylors owned and operated Taylor Made News for 15 years during the latter 80’s and during the 90’s. Barbara wrote a well-known weekly column for 12 years. She was a member of the Make-A-Wish Board of Directors for several years and helped many children fulfill their Wish by coming to Branson.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Branson and a member of The Waymakers Sunday School Class as well as a longtime volunteer in the church’s thrift store. Barbara was also involved with the VFW Ladies Post #5168 in Forsyth.
She entered into Glory on Monday, September 30, 2024 from Cox Medical Center in Branson. She will be greatly missed and remembered for her love, generosity and creativity as a painter and storyteller.
Services to celebrate Barbara’s life will be held on Friday, October 4, 2024 in Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home & Crematory, Branson. Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. and funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Dave Wiant officiating. She will be laid to rest in Ozarks Memorial Park Cemetery, Branson.
