Bonnie Mae Thomas, 88 of Kimberling City, MO
Bonnie Mae Thomas was born to Andrew “Wally” & Laurel Peel on November 1, 1932 in Boone, IA. She married Kenneth Thomas on November 18, 1951 in Boone and they were blessed with two children. Along with raising her children and caring for her family, Bonnie worked at the Eastern Star Masonic Home retirement community as their executive secretary.
In 1976, Bonnie and Kenneth purchased the Four Seasons Resort in Kimberling City and moved from Iowa. It was the beginning of their life in the hospitality business as they managed other motels around Branson.
Bonnie loved time with her family and was designated the official “Pie Maker” for all family gatherings. She enjoyed cooking and sewing. Bonnie was a member of Ozark Mountain Assembly of God in Kimberling City.
Bonnie entered into rest on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Hopedale Cottages in Ozark at the age of 88.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Leo Peel.
Bonnie is survived by her loving husband of nearly 70 years, Kenneth Thomas of Ozark; son, Mike Thomas and wife Linda of Abrams, WI; daughter, Lisa Westfall and husband Rick of Sparta; five grandchildren, Tara (Jason) O’Leary, Ashley (Nick) Gasau, Chelsea (Doug) Dahms, Cory (Maranda) Westfall, and Laura Westfall along with ten great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Bonnie will be Thursday, August 26, 2021 in Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory, Branson with visitation beginning at 10:00 A.M. and the funeral service at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday. Burial will follow in Ozarks Memorial Park Cemetery, Branson.
