Buren Tillman Palmer, 80, Cedarcreek

Celebration of life services for Buren Tillman Palmer, 80, Cedarcreek, will be held at the Open Door Community Church, 4424 State Hwy M, Cedarcreek, MO, Saturday, Sept 21, at 2:00 p.m.  Pastor Isaac Pederson will officiate. Tillman went to be with his Lord on Monday, Sept.16, 2024 at his home with family surrounding him.  Cremation services were under the direction of Snapp-Bearden Forsyth Chapel, Forsyth.

Buren Tillman Palmer was born Feb. 11, 1944, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to Calvin and Dena (Glascock) Palmer. He attended Walker High School in Walker, Louisiana. Tillman served in the United States Army for a short time during peacetime.

He married the love of his life Barbara (Bobbie) Graham on Dec. 17, 1961, by Pastor Jesse Watts in Livingston Parish, Louisiana.  They celebrated sixty-two years together last winter. Tillman and Bobbie were blessed with two children.

Tillman was a millwright by trade, installing rotating equipment in heavy industries.  This profession took him to many locations in the country and around the world.

He moved to the Cedarcreek area from Walker, LA to enjoy retirement in a small community with his loving wife Bobbie.  Tillman was a good neighbor to his community and church as they were to him.  He enjoyed riding motorcycles and being in the outdoors.

Tillman was preceded in death by his parents, sister Theresa Jackson, brothers Clyde and Billy, and a son-in-law Timothy Pearce.

Tillman is survived by his devoted wife Bobbie; a daughter Pamela Pearce of Harmony, NC; son Buren Tillman Palmer II and wife Brandi of Murfreesboro, TN; a sister Dianne Johnson; five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
