Cathy Joan Krueger, age 61, of Branson, Missouri.
Cathy Joan Krueger, age 61, of Branson, Missouri, passed away due to complications from diabetes and Addison’s disease on October 24, 2021.
“Frosty” McGovney and Diane (Jones, McGovney) Eidson welcomed Cathy into the world in Modesto, California on August 11, 1960. As a preschooler, Cathy began her life-long battle with Type 1 Diabetes. As a young girl, she lived in many places – but she treasured her memories of Oahu the most. As a teenager, she loved playing softball. As a young woman, she found her life-long faith in Jesus, married Paul Krueger, and moved to Branson, Missouri with their two young children. As a mother, she baked with her daughter, read books with her son, listened to both of their hearts, and always called them on the phone when they got older. As a “Mimi,” she adored taking her two granddaughters to cheer practice, passing on her skills in the kitchen to them, visiting her new grandson in California, and doting over his pictures from afar.
Cathy enjoyed reading books, listening to worship songs, and giving thoughtful gifts. She made desserts for others to enjoy that she could not enjoy herself – from her secret ice cream cake recipe to baking thousands of cookies. In the past, she volunteered at Table Rock Freedom Center and currently served at Elevate Branson (aka Jesus is Homeless).
As one of the warmest and kindest people you could ever meet, Cathy devoted her life to others with a contagious smile and caring heart. She loved her family most of all, was a kind friend to many, and they all relish her memory.
Cathy is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Hutchinson of Branson, Missouri; her son, Stephen Krueger and wife Chelsea of La Habra, California; her grandchildren: Josie Hutchinson,
Emory Hutchinson, and Simon Krueger; her sister, Cindy Fransisco of Chico, California; three brothers: Steve McGovney of Modesto, California, Michael McGovney and wife Sandy of Battle Ground, Washington, and Greg Eidson of Chico, California; as well as many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Cathy’s life will be held at 10:30 am, Thursday, October 28, 2021, at Cremations of the Ozarks, Hollister, Missouri, with Reverend Julie Davenport officiating.
