Charles Edward Sears, age 80, formally of Sidney, Iowa

Charles Edward Sears, age 80, formally of Sidney, Iowa, passed away on September 17, 2021. He entered this life June 9, 1941, the son of Willard and Bonnie (Houchins) Sears. He married the love of his life, Sallye Ruth Curtis, on December 31, 1961. Charles is preceded in death by both of his parents and sister, Ginger Viner.

Charles graduated from Sidney High School in 1959. He worked for Taylor Farms, Fremont County Roads Department, and Sidney Community School until his retirement. After retirement, they moved to Branson West, where they have lived here for the last three years. Charles enjoyed his activities with family and friends. Some of his favorites were fishing, going on trips, and playing cards. Charles was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend; he will be greatly missed by those who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, of fifty-nine years, Sallye Ruth Sears; his daughter, Terri (Gerry) Sprentall of Payson, Arizona; Tom (Lisa) of Branson West, Missouri; grandchildren: Sarah Hart of Chandler, Arizona, Joey (Natalie) Sprentall of Gilbert, Arizona, Ashley (Austin) Costello, Rebecca (William) Murphy, and Sean Sears; great grandchildren: Bailey Hart, Logan Hart, and Charlotte Sprentall; his brother-in-law, Gene Viner; as well as many nieces and nephews.
