Clyde Alvin Sidley, age 69, of Hollister, Missouri, passed away February 10, 2024. He entered this life on October 7, 1954, the son of Clyde and Kathleen May (Jordan) Sidley in Lakeport, California. Clyde was joined in marriage to Kathleen Tranter on October 4, 1986.
Clyde was a very active man who had a heart for adventure. He enjoyed the outdoors, whether he was hunting, fishing, four-wheeling, or riding the backroads. He was a proud life member of the NRA. Clyde and Kathy cherished their time together camping, bowling, and playing baseball. At home, he watched NASCAR and car shows. A man of many talents, Clyde could fix anything and was an accomplished draftsman, even designed his dream home. He was also of the Mormon faith. Anyone who knew Clyde would agree that he was a gentleman who was a loving husband to Kathy and treated her like a queen. His time with his family and the memories and legacy he leaves behind will be cherished for many generations.
Clyde is survived by his wife of thirty-eight years, Kathy Sidley from Hollister, Missouri; children: Mary Pitman Hayes, Clyde Rickey Sidley, and Joseph James Sidley, from California; three grandchildren: Clyde Weslee Sidley, Christopher Sidley, and Aden Sidley; brother, Maxwell (Deb) Sidley from California; sisters: Rosemary Sidley from California, Yola of California, Judy Wilhite from Texas, and Dorothy Penera from Arkansas, and Eula Ford; as well as many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Clyde and Kathleen Sidley; brother, John Wren; Barbara Cauthon; and nephew, Joey Harris.
There are no formal services planned at this time. Memorial contributions in Clyde’s name may be made to the Taney County Ambulance District (TCAD), 106 Industrial Park Dr., Hollister, MO 65672.
