Crystal Berniece Shafer, age 87, of Taneyville, Missouri.

Crystal Berniece Shafer, age 87, of Taneyville, Missouri, passed away on October 24, 2024. She entered this world on July 29, 1937, in Los Angels, California, the daughter of Chester and Berniece (Potter) Summers.

A heart for sewing, Crystal had a room dedicated to her art. The room consisted of her working station and her incredible sewing pieces she created. Crystal worked as a seamstress and CPA for most of her life and in her spare time enjoyed watching old movies, especially Gone with the Wind. She adored her pets and the time she spent with them. Crystal was forever loved and will be treasured for all time.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Chester and Berniece Summers; husband, Robert Shafer; stepson, Frank Shafer; grandson, Nathan Brooks; sister, Celeste Summers; and two brothers: Oakley Summers and Don Summers.

Crystal is survived by her son, Dewey (Janine) Brooks of Taneyville, Missouri; son, Mark Todd; daughter, Bonnie (Mike) Mahoney; daughter, Susan (Wes) Canady; brother, Craig Summers; brother, Bard Summers; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
