Darrel Loyd Weaver, age 85, of Cassville, Missouri passed away Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at his home.
He was born March 26, 1936 in Cassville, Missouri the son of Morris and Thelma (Ennis) Weaver. On November 24, 1989 he was united in marriage to Bettie Parker, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, LaDon Weaver of Ottawa, Kansas and Darren Weaver of Zena, Oklahoma; one daughter, Melissa Black and her husband Lee of Zena, Oklahoma; two step-daughters, Gayla Templeton and Tammy Puckett; one step-son, Billy Hutchins; one sister, Reta Voelker of Cassville, Missouri; fifteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; two nephews, Gerald Westpheling and his wife Stacey and Larry Westpheling and his wife Kathy; one niece, Robin Smith and her husband Steve and other family and friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
Darrel grew up in the Cassville and Exeter area, graduating from Exeter High School. After graduating he moved to Colorado then Van Buren, Arkansas where he lived twenty years before returning to Cassville to retire. He was a self-employed mechanic for most of his career. He was employed at Ken’s Car Care in Barling, Arkansas as a mechanic for several years. His love of flying led him to build an ultralight airplane that he enjoyed flying. Some of his favorite pastimes were fishing, camping, riding his motorcycle and woodworking.
Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Larry Westpheling will conduct the services.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Saturday at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
