David Lynn Paul

David Lynn Paul, age 64, of Washburn, Missouri.

David Lynn Paul, age 64, of Washburn, Missouri passed away at 5:28 A.M. on Friday October 8, 2021, at University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri. 

David was born on November 17, 1956, in Wheaton, Missouri, the son of Leon Laverne Paul and Charlene (Barber) Paul. On May 6, 1983, he was united in marriage to Shelley Blankenship and unto this union three beautiful children were born, Shelby Lynn Paul, Brett Diane Paul, and David Anthony Paul. 

David attended Southwest High School in Washburn graduating with the class of 1974. Right after graduation he worked briefly in Bella Vista, Arkansas clearing land for new housing development. Shortly after he started work at Fasco Industries putting in 25 years before retiring in 2001. After retiring he raised chickens for George's for several years, after he stopped raising chickens he went to work for Justin Brands from 2013 through 2020 where his son also worked. David raised beef cattle all his life and enjoyed being outside working the farm, fishing, and hunting. One of his favorite pastimes through the years was fishing and hunting with his son David, teaching him how it was done at an early age. Then his two beautiful grandchildren Bently and Makayla came along. They were his world and the process of teaching what he had taught his son started over. He enjoyed taking them on the tractor with him to feed and check cattle, and took them hunting and fishing. David accepted the Lord as his personal Savior at a young age and was a member of Washburn First Baptist Church. He loved his family, friends, and neighbors. 

Survivors include his son David Anthony Paul and partner Lindsey Anderson; grandson, Bently Lynn Paul; granddaughter, Makayla Marie Paul; a sister, Connie Deans-Hubrig and husband Bruce; three brothers, Robert Paul and wife Michelle, Jerry Paul and wife Lisa, Dennis Paul and several nieces and nephews. 

David was preceded in death by his two infant daughters, Shelby Lynn Paul and Brett Diane Paul; his parents, Leon and Charlene Paul; his grandparents and aunts and uncles. 

Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, October 15, 2021 at Washburn First Baptist Church in Washburn, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Reverend Jim Erwin and Reverend Glenn Erwin will conduct the services. 

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:00 P.M. Thursday at Washburn First Baptist Church in Washburn.
