Dr. Timothy “Tim” Andrew Taylor, age 56, of Branson, MO
Dr. Timothy “Tim” Andrew Taylor, age 56, of Branson, Missouri, entered his Heavenly home August 7, 2021. He entered this world November 8, 1964, in Linneus, Maine, the son of George and Betty (Sullivan) Taylor. Tim was joined in marriage to the love of his life on September 23, 1989, Lisa Schweer. To this union, three children were born. During his 56 years, with Lisa by his side, he dedicated his life to the service of his Lord and to the education of young people. “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”-KJV
With a heart for kids and education, Tim earned his Doctorate in Education from University of Missouri. Having served as Superintendent of area schools, he most recently was Headmaster of Legacy Academy in Branson. He and Lisa were members of First Baptist Church Branson. Tim dedicated a lifetime spreading the good news of The Gospel of Jesus Christ. This commitment poured into what he referred to as “Kingdom Work,” giving wholly of himself and staying busy helping others. In his downtime, Tim was fond of working in the garden and drawing. At the end of the day, he would enjoy his other love, ice cream. The flavor didn’t matter, but he was partial to mint chocolate chip. Most of all, Tim Taylor was a servant to his Lord, touching many lives. “Well done good and faithful servant.”
He was preceded in death by a brother, Danny Taylor.
Tim is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Lisa Taylor of Branson, Missouri; his children: Malissa Unger and husband Ty, Emilee Curbow and Drew Taylor, all of Branson, Missouri; six grandchildren: Jordan, Mia, Rylee, Max, Kinslee and Macy; his parents: George and Betty Taylor of Branson, Missouri; a sister, Debbie Howell of Kansas; two brothers: James Taylor of Belize, and Charlie Taylor of Iowa; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
A private burial will be held Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at Countryside Memorial Gardens in Owensville, Missouri. Memorials in memory of Tim may be made to Legacy Academy Building Fund c/o Central Bank, Branson, Missouri. Services and burial are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks.
