Elsie Marie (Pressley) Combs, 91, of Bradleyville, Missouri
Funeral services for Elsie Marie (Pressley) Combs, 91, of Bradleyville, were held November 16, 2023 at the Snapp-Bearden Forsyth Chapel in Forsyth, Missouri, with the Pastor Jack Essary officiating. Burial followed at the Patterson Cemetery in Bradleyville.
Elsie Marie was born on June 17, 1932, in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, daughter of Elmer and Mary Ethel (Broce) Pressley, and moved to Taney County, Missouri, as a young child. She attended elementary school at Union Flat School and graduated from Bradleyville High School. She married Bobby Gene Combs on April 28, 1951, in Harrison Arkansas. They lived all of their married life around Bradleyville where Elsie was a homemaker who was known for her gardening and cooking skills, especially baking homemade pies, strawberry shortcake, and zucchini cake. Elsie was very artistic, showing her skills most frequently as a seamstress who made most of her children’s clothing and was employed sewing quilted Bible covers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and sisters Edna Mae Johnson and Emogene Schmidt as well as a grandson, Robert Combs.
Survivors include son Ronald and his wife Carla Combs of Bradleyville, daughters Linda and husband Terry Gann of Springfield, Carol and husband Ken Case of Branson, Pamela and husband Ronald Boyer of Old Mines, grandchildren Mandy Nelson and husband Ben, Bobby Tonche and wife Tonya, Donna Beumer, Jamie Nowicki and husband Matthew, Robin Gagnepain and husband Jason, Bradley Case and wife Carrie, Krista Jeffries and husband Daniel, Daniel Boyer and wife Margaret, Adam Boyer, Cody Combs, and Alexis Combs, 23 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
