Ernest Paul Stipech, age 89, of Lampe, Missouri passed away Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at his home.
He was born December 5,1931 in Calumet, Michigan, the son of Edward and Exilda (Brunet) Stipech. He was united in marriage to Mary Jane McLean, who preceded him in death on August 3, 2001. Also preceding him in death were his parents; one daughter, Barbara Strohm; one grandson, Nicholas Ryan Cahill; two sisters, Dorrie Ojala and Marian Francis and one brother, Edward Stipech.
Surviving are four daughters, Elizabeth Medbury and her husband John of Tucson, Arizona, Jean Stipech of Lampe, Missouri, Linda Cahill and her husband Sean of Riverside, California and Kathleen Widney and her husband Arthur of San Bernadino, California; two brothers, Frank Stipech of Chassell, Michigan and Don Stipech of Tehachapi, California; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Ernest grew up and received his education in Calumet, Michigan, graduating from Calumet High School. While working for a mining company he met and married Mary Jane. He then joined the United States Army, serving for four years. After being honorably discharged he returned to Michigan before moving to California and eventually settling in Lampe. At one point was employed by Johns Manville Fiberglass as a maintenance foreman. He loved working on cars and living in the country. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Shell Knob.
Private family services will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Shell Knob.
