Joseph Milton Probasco, age 88, of Springfield, Missouri

Joseph Milton Probasco, age 88, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away November 29, 2022. He entered this life July 14, 1934, in Edgewood, Iowa, the son of Harley and Gladys (Welch) Probasco.

He retired to Bella Vista, Arkansas, where he volunteered at the Bella Vista Recycling Center from 1994 to 2004 when he moved to Hollister, Missouri. He was very active volunteering with the Optimist Club, Meals on Wheels, Branson United Methodist Church, the local food pantry, and worked for three years at Montana Steakhouse in Branson, Missouri as a host. He played cards: Pinochle, Eucre, and others. He moved to Springfield, Missouri several years before his death.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Art and Jerry.

His is survived by his sister, Alice Hamlett; loving partner, Mary Sue Carrington; two sons: Bob (Collete) and Dave (Diane) Probasco; seven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; five stepchildren; and numerous step grandchildren and great-grandchildren who fondly referred to him as Papa Joe.

There will be a memorial service 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 17, 2022, at Branson United Methodist Church, 1208 W 76 Country Blvd, Branson, MO 65616, with pastors Eric Derks and Doyle Carroll officiating.
