Joshua Phillip Hustead, age 41, of Lebanon, Missouri.

Joshua Phillip Hustead, age 41, of Lebanon, Missouri, left his earthly life at 6:23 AM on December 20, 2021. He entered this life on August 10, 1980, in Springfield, Missouri. He is preceded in death by his mother Sue Lamoureaux, maternal grandparents, as well as aunts and uncles.

Joshua loved his children more than anything in the world. He had struggled on and off throughout his life, but his final months were filled with desire to straighten his life out and he was exemplifying the man he has always wanted to become. He was thriving in his environment at the Lighthouse Mission. Joshua had the best sense of humor, infectious laugh & loved making those around him laugh. Josh’s family meant everything to him. The director of the Lighthouse Mission said how often Joshua talked about his family and how he “could not have imagined having a better father.” Joshua had many favorite Bible verses but the one he quoted most was Galatians 2:20, “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.”

He is survived by his parents, Dennis & Gail Hustead. His grandparents: Gene & Norma Hustead, and Dorothy Wiebe. His children: Ashton Hustead and Kellyn Hustead. His three brothers: Matthew Pyle (Ashley), Timothy Schaum (Robin), and Christopher Schaum; four sisters: Kim Hopper (Jeff), Erika Zumwalt (Lester), Caitlin Creighton (Kevin), and Annie Seda. As well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who all loved him very much. There are many lives that have been affected by his passing.

A celebration of life will be held at the Lighthouse Mission in Lebanon, Missouri and will be announced at a later date.
