Joshua Robert “Josh Bob” Roper

Joshua Robert “Josh Bob” Roper...

Joshua Robert “Josh Bob” Roper left this world on Sunday July 7th. He was born on July 1, 1978 in Smithville, Missouri, the firstborn son of Robert Roper and Gina Rich. On September 7, 2019 in Flippin, Arkansas he was united in marriage to Erin Wirth.

He was a troubadour. In his 46 years, he did a little bit of everything - professional rodeo rider, oil rig roughneck, welding, commercial refrigeration, and hog and cattle farming. He was an avid gardener and bee keeper. He was a musician, an artist, a cowboy, and a damn good friend.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Andrew Lee Roper and father, Robert Lee Roper. He is survived by his wife, Erin; four sons, Zachary Cook of Tennessee, Danny Roper, Eli Roper, and Hayes Roper of Eagle Rock; daughter, Andie Roper and her fiancé, Hunter Bailey, also of Eagle Rock; sister, Amy McArthur and her husband, Tommy McArthur; and his mother, Gina and stepfather, Dan Rich, all of Texas.

He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He was the last of his kind.

The family invites friends to celebrate Josh Bob’s life at Roper Farms on Saturday July 13th at 1 PM. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
