Lane Seldon Griffith

Lane Seldon Griffith, age 58.

Lane Seldon Griffith, age 58, passed away September 8, 2024, with family by his side after a long battle with cancer. He entered this life February 5, 1966, the son of Robert and Mary Jane (Anderson) Griffith in Sacramento, California. Lane was joined in marriage to Patricia “Patty” Kay Robinson on June 25, 2003.

With a gregarious soul, Lane was the life of the party. He loved telling stories, sharing fun facts, telling jokes, or pulling pranks. Lane was a bus driver in Branson for nearly twenty years and was well loved by his bus kids; he also was a bus driver for special needs adults while living in Illinois. In his spare time, he could be found playing the guitar or drums, or D.J.ing.

Lane enjoyed gardening and cooking; his specialty was chili and desserts. He was a fan of crime shows, Star Trek, Magnum PI and comedies. More than anything, Lane loved spending time with his family; and loved being a grandpa. The memories and moments created throughout his life will be cherished by all who knew him.

Lane is survived by his wife of twenty-one years, Patty Griffith of Taneyville, Missouri; daughter, Adrian (Preston) Griffith of Branson, Missouri; son, Garrett Griffith of Skidmore, Missouri; stepson, Michael Robinson of Wood River, Illinois; four grandchildren: Lillian, Jude, Lovina, and Delilah; mother, Mary Jane Mabry of Nixa, Missouri; siblings: Renie (William) Griffith-King, Peggy (Phil) Griffith, Joe Griffith, Felicia (Josh) Whites, Neil Jr. (Mandy)  Mabry, and Lisa (Frankie) Garcia. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and many bus kids he had over the past twenty years.

He is preceded in death by father, Robert Griffith; stepfather, Neil Mabry; sister, Claudette Griffith; and niece, Katrina Moore.

There will be a celebration of life held 2:00 p.m. Saturday September 14, 2024, at Branson First Assembly of God, 399 State Hwy T, Branson, Missouri, with Pastor Stan Miller officiating. Memorial contributions in Lane’s name may be made to Lane’s family to assist with his final funeral expenses. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks.
