Manuel Fuentes Alvarez, age 78, of Branson, Missouri.
Manuel Fuentes Alvarez, age 78, of Branson, Missouri, passed away suddenly December 18, 2021. He entered this life November 14, 1943, in Mexico City, Mexico, the son of Manuel Fuentes Martinez and Refugio Alvarez. Preceding him in death are his parents and a brother, Jorge Fuentes. He was joined in marriage April 11, 1970, to Sonja Julieta Rodriguez De Fuentes.
Manuel proudly served in the Mexican Armed Forces while he lived in Mexico. He then earned his degree and worked as a lawyer for more than thirty years before coming to the United States as a business owner in the Branson area. Manuel possessed a strong work ethic, keeping himself busy all the time. He loved to dance, party, and travel when he had the opportunity. It is obvious his family was much loved, and his wife was his “everything” as they celebrated their love each month, 620 months. His life was an example to all who knew him.
Manuel is survived by his wife of fifty-one years, Sonia Julieta Rodriguez De Fuentes; son, Manuel (Adriana Ramirez Fuentes) Fuentes Rodriguez of Branson, Missouri; daughter, Sonja (Michael) Fuentes Carter of Branson, Missouri; grandchildren: Cassandra Michelle, Erick Manuel, Nathan Michael, and Gabriella Sophia; two sisters: Lourdes Fuentes and Esthela Fuentes both from Mexico City, Mexico; cousins, the Basurto family; and many other friends and extended family members.
