Mark Douglas Barrie, age 63, of Branson, Missouri, passed away on May 27, 2024. He was born on September 9, 1960, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri, to Bill and Janice Barrie of Branson, Missouri.
Mark grew up and attended Raytown Schools, class of 1978, in Raytown, Missouri. He worked in the automotive repair and parts industry for 10-15 years. Mark spent many years in the power tool and construction equipment industry for 12-15 years. He worked at Milwaukee Electric Tool Corporation in Kansas City, Missouri; Empire Staple Company in Denver, Colorado; NAPA Auto Parts in Ft. Collins, Colorado; and O’Reilly Auto Parts in Hollister, Missouri. Mark spent his final 10 years of working life as a Missouri state certified wastewater treatment plant operator for the city of Hollister, Missouri. He retired in 2018 due to health issues. In his free time, he enjoyed camping and fishing. Mark will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Frank and Jo Fann of Wheatland, Missouri, and Charles and Ople Johnson of Raytown, Missouri.
Mark is survived by his parents: Bill and Janice Barrie of Branson, Missouri; daughter, Mariah Barrie of Ft. Mill, South Carolina; brother, Todd Barrie of Salt Lake City, Utah; nieces: Jonelle Barrie-Rel and Cameron Barrie of Colorado; grand nieces and nephews: Lawson Hogan, Dylan Fabiana, Rowan Rel, and Freya Rel all of Colorado; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins whom he loved dearly.
