Mary Louise Kellogg, age 80, of Indianola, Iowa and Branson.
Mary Louise Kellogg was born on May 4, 1941 in Hampton, Iowa. She was the daughter of Raymond & Billie (Whitten) Johansen.
Mary studied to be a nurse and served as a Registered Nurse in many capacities over the years including county health, nursing homes and blood banks. When she became physically limited in the nursing field, she turned her pursuits to making people smile while still caring for them as Lulu the Clown. She sought to lift the spirits of adults in the cardiac and cancer care units in local hospitals. As Lulu, she entertained prison inmates in Iowa and grade school children in Texas.
Mary married her true love, Clark Kellogg on June 2, 1962 in Indianola, IA. Along with working and being a devoted wife and mother, Mary served as a 4-H Leader. She and Clark spent many years in Indianola before moving to Branson. They were also Winter Texans, spending the cold winter months in Texas and serving on the Harlingen Concert Association board, bringing in entertainment to the community where they resided during the winter months. Mary was also a faithful follower of Christ and a member of Branson United Methodist Church.
Mary entered into rest on Thursday, September 30, 2021 in Cox Medical Center Branson at the age of 80.
She is survived by her husband, Clark Kellogg of Branson; children, Paul Kellogg and wife Lisa of Gurnee, IL; Eric Kellogg of Aurora, MO; Debbie Hoodjer of Lake of the Ozarks; one brother, Ray Johansen of Indianola, IA and four grandchildren.
Graveside services will be in Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at 12:00 P.M. with Rev. Eric Derks officiating. Services are under the direction of Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory, Branson.
