Michalen “Mikie” Marler, age 63, Theodosia, Missouri
Funeral services for Michalen “Mikie” Marler of Theodosia, Missouri will be held January 17, 2024 at 5:30 p.m. in the Snapp-Bearden Forsyth Chapel in Forsyth, Missouri. Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. and conclude at service time.
Mikie was born April 20,1960 to Thomas and Jonnie Jo (Bradshaw) Skinner in Rangely, Colorado. Mikie’s family moved from Colorado to Southwest Missouri when she was four years old. She grew up in Ozark County and attended Lutie School. It is here she met Roger Marler, they were married in a small church in Protem, Missouri in 1975 and raised three loving children Michael Allen, William Andrew (Andy), and Jessica Jo. Outside the home Mikie earned a degree in business with an emphasis in law. She then worked in private law by serving as a paralegal to local attorneys. Mikie loved and cherished her time with the grandkids, collecting antiques, horseback riding, fishing, and squirrel hunting. She proudly displayed her collection of antiques in her home.
Mikie is preceded in death by her parents and her two sons Michael Allen and William Andrew (Andy) Marler. Mikie will be deeply missed by her devoted husband Roger; daughter Jessica Jo (Marler) Williams and husband Shawn of Taneyville, Missouri; brothers, Tommy Joe Skinner and wife Sherry of Protem, Missouri and Harold Skinner and wife Kimberly of Lancaster, Ohio; six grandchildren, six great grandchildren, nieces, with many other family members and friends that loved her.
