Nadine Jane McCasland, age 94, of Seligman, Missouri

 

Nadine Jane McCasland, age 94, of Seligman, Missouri passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at her home.

            She was born April 16, 1929 in Mountain View, Oklahoma the daughter of Orvel and Etta (Smith) Coon. On August 8, 1946 in Mountain View, Oklahoma she was united in marriage to Don Douglas McCasland, Sr., who preceded her in death on December 16, 2002. Also preceding her in death were her parents; one son, Don Douglas McCasland III; one daughter, Teresa Jo Peck; two sisters, Juanita and Helen and one grandaughter, Dee Dee.

            Surviving are one son, Don Douglas “Spike” McCasland, Jr. and his wife Gina of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Misty, Michelle and Dusty; three great-grandchildren Colton, Deryk, Brooke and seven great-great-grandchildren.

            Nadine grew up on the farm in Mountain View, Oklahoma where she was born and attended school in Mountain View. She worked on the farm from the age of nine until seventeen when she and Don were married. She accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her Savior at age nineteen, she loved telling people about Jesus. She and Don lived in Sacramento, California where he was stationed during his service in the military until 1951 when they moved to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma living there until 1974 when they decided to make their home in the Ozarks. Nadine enjoyed gardening, tending her flowers and playing the piano and organ which she also played at church for thirty-five years. She loved her dogs, but most of all she loved her family. She was a member of Seligman First Baptist Church in Seligman, Missouri.

            Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, June 5, 2023 at Seligman First Baptist Church in Seligman, Missouri, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville, Missouri. Pastor Brent Ferguson will conduct the services. Burial will be at Seligman Cemetery in Seligman, Missouri.

            The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 P.M. Sunday at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.

            Contributions may be made to Haven of The Ozarks in memory of Nadine.
