Patricia “Pat” Davis, age 74, of Hollister, Missouri.
Patricia “Pat” Davis, age 74, of Hollister, Missouri was reunited with her Savior Thursday, August 25, 2022. She entered this life March 31, 1948, in Borger, Texas, the daughter of Raymond and Jenelle (Jasper) Garnand. After her parent’s divorce, she was adopted by Floyd Harold Davis who became a great influence on her life. Pat was joined in marriage January 30, 1970, to Ransom Davis. They shared 45 years together until his passing on February 2, 2015.
Pat exemplified the “Heart of a Servant.” In 1983, she began her 23-year career as a travel agent with AAA in Tulsa, Oklahoma. In January of 1999, Pat became an agent/manager of Great Southern Travel until her retirement in the travel business in June 2006. Having coordinated vacations for so many travelers, Pat created vacation memories for numerous families in the area. After her retirement in the travel industry, Pat’s second career as a servant to her community began.
Pat and Ransom were long time members of the Branson Christian Church. In 1986, Pat joined the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. When she moved to the Branson area, she continued as a non-member of the Branson Chapter 68. From 2002 to 2018, Pat was a member of the Tri Lakes Toastmasters Club. In 2011, she became a charter member and past President of the Rotary Club of Hollister as well as a longtime member of the Hollister Chamber of Commerce. If an event was being held by the Rotary Club or Hollister Chamber, Pat was there with her lovely smile and kind words, pouring her heart into serving her community. In 2009, Pat served as a board member for Christian Action Ministries Food Pantry of Taney County (CAM) in Branson, Missouri. In February 2010, she volunteered as Executive Director of CAM. Through her hard work and dedication to serving those in need, CAM grew into one of the area’s largest community outreach programs. She retired as director on September 1, 2015. In 2015, Pat began her service for The Salvation Army USA, volunteered as Food Outreach Director, running the food pantry and writing grants. In January 2016, she began serving as Community Volunteer Leader for the American Red Cross.
Of her many accomplishments, her service to her community and the relationships she developed over the years, her greatest joy in life was her love of Ransom and her personal relationship with her Savior, Jesus Christ.
Anyone who knew Pat Davis knew she was a die-hard St. Louis Cardinals and Kansas City Chiefs fan. Another passion was her Scottie dogs. If you visited Pat and Ransom over the years, there was a good chance you were greeted by Midget, Fala, Chisum, Dirks, Angus, Bonnie, Jasper, or Dawson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband and partner in life, Ransom Davis; and a sister, Margene Judge.
Pat is survived by many beloved friends and community members; two half-sisters: Debra DeJung of Grandview, Missouri, and Glenna Garnard of Ft. Scott, Kansas; as well as several cousins.
